Both Cuse and Lindelof sounded adamant about not wanting the show to continue in future TV or film projects (so presumably we won't see "Lost Babies" show up on ABC Family). They also said they aren't thinking about writing a "making of" book. Lindelof: "The one promise that we are making is that what we're not going to do is leave the show hanging so we can pick up the ball and run with it two years from now in some other television...

I hope they end it in a way that doesn't conclusively end the series. I'd like to think of the possibility of an actual movie in a couple of years or something like that.

But if they do decide that this is it, they better end it phenomenally and not give us a shitty ending a la Sopranos & Seinfeld.

It's kind of silly, even if they go into hiding...er, seclusion... for 5 years, the first questions they're going to get are still going to be "So, about that Lost finale..."

Cuse said the duo is going "off the grid" after the finale airs in order to avoid "having to interpret the ending."

This does not make me happy.

Didn't David Chase, go into seclusion after The Sopranos finale?

We always did our best to make the show great, but when you're halfway through Season 3 and you're doing episodes about Jack flying a kite in Thailand, then the network finally said, "Oh, this is what you guys were talking about." So we were able to agree upon how many episodes were left and at that point we knew exactly how much time we had to arrive at our destination.

Technically they can't prove it. They could always film to make it seem that was their original plan. But let's say Jack or Sawyer and Kate are Adam and Eve.. then I'll take their word that's how it was gonna be from the beginning.
