OMG Regina Spektor <3 <3 <3 Soviet Kitsch is a really great album. I love Us and Chemo Limo.

Personally I think Begin To Hope is her best, and I can't wait to get Far. <3

20. Alanis Morissette - Supposed Former Infatuation Junkie

This is an album that, for me, is difficult to listen to because the bad outweighs the good. It's over an hour long, so it naturally feels a bit bloated. For me, enjoying this isn't a multi-task album at all... you need to pay close attention to enjoy it. On a positive note, there are some really kick-ass songs;...

I tend to categorize Diamanda's work in two; the live/jazz-influenced material (la serpenta canta, the singer, malediction and prayer, etc) and her experimental work (plague mass, vena cava, schrei x). The second category, experimental, is very difficult for me to compare to other (more conventional) music so I tend to avoid that. As for her more jazz-influenced work, I gravitate moreso towards particular songs than full albums. I have troubles listening to most of her albums straight...

Okay so I'm gonna rank my favorite albums. The only rule I set up for myself was that there could be no repeated artists, unless it's a Diana Ross with and without the Supremes situation. Oh, and you've been warned: this list will be mostly made up of female artists.
