To some extent I enjoyed my long commutes. It was my alone time to get ready for the day (or after work to unwind from whatever bullshit I had been put through by retarded bosses). But I also like the idea of working walking distance from home.

It takes me 30 minutes, but that is when I have to drop the kids of at their schools. If I didn't have drop off time it would be 20-25 minutes with the red lights. My husband drives about
30 - 45 minutes.

7 minutes to in the morning, 7 minutes to and from if I go home for lunch, and 20-25 minutes on the way home.

I live in Houston. Commuting is what we do. We just accept it as a way of life.

It takes me 30-40 minutes to get to and from work most days. 25 minutes on a good day, an hour and a half on a bad day (like the week following the hurricane -- the worst).

From my apartment it's about 20 minutes.
From my parent's house it's about 8 minutes.

2.9 miles from my house to my office. I had the office in the house for 2 years after my daughter was born so that was sweet.

My old job was 50 miles door to door. When I first started I could get to work in one hour by the time I quit it took about an hour and 45 minutes. If I still had that job it would definitely be a two hour commute.

We sold a house to a couple who each commute two hours each way each day -- he goes south of Chicago, she goes well into Wisconsin.

It takes me 22 mins to walk to work, if its pouring rain and I dont feel like getting wet it takes about 15 minutes on the subway.

I feel very fortunate that I live 7.5 miles from work, and the company is actually moving closer to my house! I have been in the 1.5 hour each way commute hell before, though, so I really REALLY appreciate not living on the freakin' road.

15-30 minutes depending on three train tracks and six traffic lights. It's only about five miles.
