Hercshel certainly deserves props for Joan's win and his performance throughout the season (with the exception of the Swans task).

I wonder if Joan wrote that letter to his mom yet, for raising such a wonderful man, wonder what kind of letter she'd write to Annie's mom....

She proved that she's a competitor (Annie was already an obvious competitor) and she proved that she can overcome her faults and put together a great charity event. Annie did a good job, too, but she seems like a race horse that would wear out her friend's checkbook. Joan has the connections, reputation and will to be a giver a lot longer than Annie.

And this year's batch was the creme de la creme of the celebrity world? Take some C and D list celebs, some people looking to expand a showbiz career from something crappy (like reality), some people who NBC owns, a few "used to be" singers and sports figures, and boom, you have your cast. I'm more concerned with how they'll top all the fireworks from this season without putting a complete ringer like Omarosa on the show.

I totally agree that this show shouldn't be taken seriously, EPSPECIALLY a D-List celeb edition. My problem however, is that all these reality shows I love are devolving from competition to popularity contest. On Survivor they have no control over the outcome, so they fixed that by giving a cash prize to the most popular castaway every season. On Big Brother, they realized how popular the Sovs were that they started rigging the game in their favor. They failed, so every season from there...

Wait, am I the only Annie fan who isn't pissed Joan won? I think Joan was pretty vile at times and that Annie played a better game, but Joan did win the final task at least.

This is deja vu with Randal/Rebecca, except I was on the Randal side that time. I guess that means Joan outrage won't die out anytime soon since people are still bitter about Rebecca losing despite the fact that Rebecca sucked.

One thing is Joan never officially quit. At least we didn't see it. She never gave her resignation/said she quit to Trump personally. She bitched and walked out the door saying she's never coming back. I know that *I* have had one of those days at work where I have threatened to quit/said I quit/walked out/etc.. but never handed in my resignation. Trump was told she quit, but she went home, had some formaldehyde to preserver her skin, calmed down and came back.

Poker players dont win money from the casino. The casino just takes a rake out of every pot. Annie wins the money from less competent or unluckier players.
