I'm kinda wondering if they're towers or if it's just the typical puzzle stations but the filming had ghosted them. Kind of like when taking a photo of a moving object...it'll leave streaks. It just seems like the tables are more solid where the streaks are more blurry and not so solidly there. But who knows. there could be other shots that show them as towers. i'm only going off this one.

But i do see a guy wire. They wouldn't need one if there wasn't...

OK, here's the "towers". What if they are fire-making stations? Still pretty lame, but slightly more interesting than just standing there and build a fire, like last season.

Maybe there are three tannish blobs under the middle station? Or are they part of the maze? Is there a diagonal guy wire up to the tops of the towers at the left?

Its kinda interesting how they use the White Color wonder when they will use it as a buff color.

This challenge is probably like in the earlier seasons, Jeff will tell a story about a Dragon Slayer then 5 of them will answer the questions if they are right they'll get a key and so on..

My guess is that they're just frames for hoisting a flag when they're finished with the inevitable puzzle.

Is there a vidcap? The obvious reason to have towers is so you could climb up and see the letters, but that would make the challenge even less blind than just not having blindfolds. They don't look like they are carrying anything.

In the TV version of the ad, there appear to be five towers/stations just past the last "R" in the SURVIVOR maze.
Doesn't explain all that much, although if there's something they need to collect from the "S" and bring back, that could be a bit of a pain.

It'll be like short-track speedskating at the Olympics - plenty of elbows and pratfalls and bodychecks.

Maybe this is when Coach suffers his "injury" after being taken out by Erinn !!

If they run the Maze blindfolded after walking the course I'd wager they let them go as a pack. It's a lot more fun to see them trip all over each other and much shorter to present on TV.

If I were running around in very hot weather, I would like something on my head to keep the sweat out of my eyes. I can't see them letting them use the buffs for blindfolds because those buffs get a lot of hard use and some could have holes in them, etc. Much safer if production uses blindfolds were nobody can claim (right or wrong) that someone had an advantage because their buff had holes in it or was worn thin or whatever. I have never seen a buff used in a competition where...
