Right now I'm well ahead of the schedule. I'm planning to watch all of "There's No Place Like Home" plus the first two episodes of S5 (I have them all on my DVR) this weekend.

Alrighty, I just wrapped up S3. Here's one observation that struck me. We were in given a huge hint in S3 that Ben had never had any sort of real "face time" with Jacob. In "The Man Behind the Curtain" (3x20) Tom and Richard were shocked to hear Locke announce that Ben was taking him to see Jacob. Then in S5 we finally find out that Richard had good reason to be shocked. In "The Incident" (5x16) Ben, when confronting Jacob, finally admits that he has...

I have been re-watching S1 with my oldest daughter. We watched Numbers the other day and I realized that the man Hurley got the numbers from (Lennard) and his shipmate (the man who blew his head off in Australia) heard the numbers the same year that Danielle crashed on the island. 16 years before the losties crashed. Hurley would have never heard the numbers if Danielle changed the outgoing message a little sooner.

Watching episodes back to back does makes a difference. My daughter and I marathon-watch a lot of seasons of shows that we never see on tv. I've pointed out to her that if I had to wait a week in between some episodes I considered weak, I would have been annoyed. I don't feel that way when I can move on quickly.

3x05/3x06 - So I officially don't see where the hate on these episodes come from. I think I could go as far to say that this is one of the strongest batches of episodes in the series history.

In these two we have Ecko's death via Smokey, which in turn gives u more information about Smokey, get a really great Kate flashback (her wedding/marriage), and the intensity level is through the roof.

What I love about re-watching the episodes, is that you can always watch & find more layers. I'm not talking acting layers, although they are there too. I am talking little nuggets that can sometimes pass you by. Like in the episode where we find that Desmond went to be a Monk & there is a picture of the head monk (Monsiginor?) & Eloise. It also helps you look at things in the future epsiodes that have been set up but you may not realise it! LOVE IT!

Yupp, you got it. He and Ben have that talk on the top of the cliff at the end. Ben reveals that he was lying about Sawyer's heart and reveals they are on seperate islands.

Hah yeah, pretty much sums it up perfectly. I like the story for what it is - a means of advancing the on-island story and pure and simple filler.

The biggest problem is it doesn't tell us anything new about Locke. We see him be a nice guy and pick up a hitch-hiker, be in desperate need of family,...

I really like the Locke flashback even though I get a nosebleed trying to figure out where it fits in to the character's timeline. O'Quinn and Chatwin quickly develop a nice chemistry and I just find the backdrop of Locke being in a setting such as that interesting and intriguing. Filler? Yes. Enjoyable? For me, yes!

I'm thinking this is the Locke flashback I don't remember anything about. He was on a farm or something? I seriously tuned that...

3x03 - First thing is first, the cinematography in this episode is phenomenal in spots. I suggest you go give this a re-watch just to appreciate the color and look of it. Really good...

Now, I had the luxury of watching the season (and those first 8 episodes in particular) in quick fashion thanks to the DVD and didn't come to learn until after the fact that the first portion of the season was so negatively received.

I didn't fall into that category. I loved the Otherville - Jack/Kate/Sawyer episodes.
