I just watched a video of it but didn't think he sucked that bad. Although while watching it I wondered what the whole point of Idol is.
When someone like Hicks wins you know the show isn't about finding the best singer in America. Cook winning over Archie is another head scratcher (for me). I was a big Hicks hater back in the day but I'm just glad to see he has a gig.

Holy Fuck! So I'm watching Regis and Kelly this morning (don't judge!) and it's Broadway week and they have different shows performing songs and today it's Grease. I was looking back over the old DialIdol results, and amazingly Taylor was #1 every week of the Top 12. And #1 every week of the top 24 except for Top 16 week.

Not even the two Davids dominated DialIdol that much this season. Although the Davids margin of victory in some weeks was a lot higher than Taylor's. But Taylor was more consistent.

He got plenty of new fans with American Idol, just not a ton. His problem is easy -- he's a live performer, not a recording artist. That's where he and Daughtry differ. Daughtry can handle the genre of music that sells well on recording. If Taylor wants to sell more than he does now, he does need to work that out... but his actual live shows are often sold out.

I know when I went to one of his shows, it was entirely more fun than watching him on Idol, but then I'm much...

Even his fans were upset with the album that was put out because they knew it wasn't comparable to the music he had been doing previously.

Taylor's sales were just fine, and were more than most recording artists ever get to see and his tour was almost always sold out at every venue. He's no failure.
