And how does merkyl think that tibetans will be "free" when the Dalai Lama becomes the ruler of Tibet? Hello Dalai is a feudalist. He's anti-religious diversity, anti-free speech and homophobic. He's not even a vegetarian. Tibet won't be free under the Lama.

Also, there have been minor rumblings about Canadian Aboriginals (Indians) protesting at the 2010 Vancouver Winter Olympics, which is fair game in a free state. But we know that is not possible in China, as no Tibetan will be allowed anywhere near the Games in China.
