Scruffy. it's more that people just don't care. A lot of times the other person isn't really listening to your responce and when you say something other than good they look up at you lost.

"Good, how are you?"

The worst offenders are the ones who say it and then walk away without waiting for an answer.

DON'T ASK HOW SOMEONE IS UNLESS YOU MEAN IT.

You don't really wanna know how they are and they're not gonna answer you how they really are anyway.
