Watching it again was even funnier the second time. "I thought you sang twice?" And Simon interrupting it to try to get the audience to forget it. Not in this lifetime Simon!

How does Paula function during the day? Does she remember to get up in the morning? Does somebody feed her? How can she sit through 5 performances and forget what she watched?

You must have missed her...

I absolutely agree with this. I realize at this point, the judges are just there to give their opinions - but it makes me wonder about her judgement during the earlier stages of the competition. She always seems to like people for the wrong reasons. I'm sure they could find someone more relevant and stable that...

Yeah, at the very least it makes it hard to take anything she says seriously from now on (not that we ever could take her seriously).

I think contestants will be less afraid about talking back to the judges after this incident. I would, if I thought I was being judged on a completely different performance.

Written comments of a performance that hadn't yet taken place? Not exactly proof of rigging, but lends credibility that the judges have their minds made up before the show. She could've played it off better if she hadn't contradicted herself about David C or made it a point to say that she had notes. i mean, come on, if she can't remember the last 20 minutes enough to know that it was only the first round, she needs to just stay home.

To be honest none of this surprised me in the least. It has always been clear to me Nigel tells them what to say before the show even happens. He listens to the rehersals, and lays out what he wants to happen before the live show starts. He lets the judges carry out his agenda, and it almost always works.
