UGH! I am NOT happy about Syesha's pick at all and I knew it would happen. But what else is she supposed to sing from that aging cryptkeeper banshee's songbook? Not a good theme AT ALL!

I'm sure she'll nail it out of the ballpark but will be compared to the Almighty. I have my pink RAZR and landline ready for all two hours...she will need it. :::cries:::

Kristy could do really well on Coat of Many Colors. Shania has sung it before, and Kristy has a Shania-esque voice in that its basically just pop with a country twang to it. Its a bit of a boring song, but also really pretty. Travelin Thru is perfect for Jason's type of voice. Whether or not it'll be any good though...

Nearly every song is a God damn ballad! Brooke's "Jolene" and Jason's "Travelin' Thru" are more upbeat, but even they won't bring the house down. I don't think it's disrespectful for her to do the Whitney version, I just think she's dumb for doing it. Every time someone does Whitney they shoot them down and tell them they're not.

I think Syesha's choice was really stupid because you know the bitch will do the Whitney version even though she's gotten better reception over all for not screaming (except from Randy). I kind of agree with louie though, the song might actually save her because it's so popular and known by like everyone.

Kristy's choice is interesting, most people myself included had Brooke down for that one.

It would be nice if you guys would actually see what Syesha does with the song before you declare that she's butchered it and is going home for it. That song is a hell of a lot better suited for Syesha than Carly's song is for her.

It's odd that they went from a Top 11 show of 120 minutes to a Top 10 show of 90 minutes to a Top 9 show of only 60 minutes.

Nine is way more than half of eleven. The performances tonight are going to be as short as some end-of-show recaps.
