I agree that SEG was negligent in the running of this particular challenge. Survivor is a risky game and all who play it, know that. However, several players were injured during this challenge, some more than others and that only serves to illustrate that this particular challenge was poorly made and poorly run. At the very least, they should have delayed the challenge until the conditions (read: muddy) were better. These poor folks had a bitch of a time slipping and sliding in the mud whilst...

There is a difference between knowingly taking a risk and a poorly planned out challenge. We could just as well be talking about JC getting his eye poked out. I call what happened negligence. They get paid to make sure things like this dont happen. Its not like with Micheal and the fire. They couldnt have foreseen that happening. The challenge is a different story. It could have been avoided.

I think I recall reading somewhere in these bazillion pages of boot lists and spoilers someone bringing up the "He is risen" comment and speculating that maybe he's brought back into the show...after reading these last few pages and the publicity of him being forced out of the game, that tidbit keeps creeping into my mind. Yeah, I think it's kind of a longshot, and quite possibly wishful thinking (not to mention, OVER-thinking), but I can't help but wonder...

No, but the challenge crew knew it was raining, they knew the rain would drastically change the conditions of the course from when they tested it, and it's my opinion that they were more interested in getting the challenge done than in going through the course to see if any new hazards had presented themselves. And after having other contestants during the challenge bashing their heads against the posts and stuff, the crew could've temorarily stopped the challenge or chosen to...

Whose to say the sharp pointy thing wasn't just a twig from the ground or a tree that got caught on the equipment?

Like I said, there is just no way for the production crew to make a challenge 100% safe. There's just too many different scenarios or variables during each run threw. The Dream Team could run it...

Twisting a knee maybe is a risk you take if you go on Survivor (or go to the park). If that challenge had been properly designed and constructed, people could well have ended up with scrapes and bruises. But there shouldn't have been any sharp pointy things that would result in a puncture wound.

I can't stand the idea of someone like Alexis winning when she's flying under the radar and hasn't really contributed much in terms of challenges. I'd rather see an active player win, even if it's Cirie.

As for Penner's departure, my prediction is that it's going to spell the end of Airai. Jonathan's not just been a major contributor to challenges and the physical building of the new Airai shelter, I get the feeling he was doing lots behind the scenes...

A couple of people are hating on Alexis for a weak first 5 episodes, but since when did Parvati get such a great edit? She had good screen time in episode 1, but after that? Nada.

Tull, I definitely see Parvati as the frontrunner now too, I just think Alexis is not out of the running because of her weak (for a winner) first five episodes.
