1. David H. - overly theatrical. but one of the best vocalists.
2. David A. - like Pauler said, I could hang him from my rearview mirror.
3. Johns - mostly due to the pants bulge.
4. Castro - reminds me of Jack Johnson.
5. David C. - give the kid a break. he's emo for goodness sakes. ;)
6. Noriega - ISH!

I'll just pick my best and worst. I thought it was a very good night overall. The two best people last week were the worst this week. 1. David Hernandez- Best of the night. He belongs in the top twelve. 9. Fidel's Grandson- Terrible Andy Gibb song (actually, ALL Andy Gibb songs are); flat voice, mediocre performance overall. 10. Michael Johns- Harsh and unpleasant vocals. Vastly worse than anything he did before. It's still early, but seeing this reminded me of Tamyra's first...

2. David Archuleta -- I don't have my hate trained on him yet, so he doesn't bother me. Good singer, seems to know his range. I'll give him a pass on changing the controversial parts of "Imagine" because that could have been the producers. 1) Archuleta (amazing vocal, complex and controlled. nice interpretation of the song. the whole thing was well played. his lower register is an issue though) 2) Hernandez (I was so shocked by this vocal. It just seemed to come out of nowhere. He was having fun and it was contagious. Well David took it this week for sure.

my take:
1. D Arch... His performance of the song 3 years ago is great too. But kind of takes the 'magic' off of this performance, knowing he has performed this song for as long as 3 years.

2. D Hern .. he is my underdog fav to go far, and he did an inspiring version of this song..loved it!

3. D Cook--- Robbie, see David for definition of an authentic rocker.
4. Danny N. -- I hope he doesn't...

2. David Cook (A legit rock performance, he lost points by backtalking Simon but still as a singer, he should be in the Top 12 easily)
