OK, this is the best I can do. I have the episode saved on my DVR, but I don't have it hooked up to my computer so that I can do screencaps. So, I did something really dorky. I paused it, and took pictures of the TV with a digital camera and downloaded those. All in all, it didn't come out too bad.

so i tuned into the "enhanced" ep tonight. with the captions. weird.

when helo pilot guy crawls up the hill and comes face-to-face with a bovine wearing a bell, the caption says...

"this cow might be a survivor of the now defunct flame station which locke blew up with c4 explosives..."

then the "cow" turns away to wave tennis ball sized testicles in my face.

ummm... caption dude, if you don't know a cow from a bull,...

Something I noticed that I don't think has been mentioned here yet. The faked 815 crash is broken into three pieces and is pretty much an exact match for how the real 815 broke up as it crashed on the island.

Isn't it also possible that things did not change but that the perspective of the viewer has been transformed to a different reality? In other words whatever Dharma did or does, or what happens on the island, or what the spot scrubber gizmo did was to simply open up a different parallel universe to the observer? Perhaps Miles just swapped with his double in the other reality when he did his thing. So in this case we follow the same Miles through different realities, and in the case of...

Just had a thought about the changing picture frames. Maybe it wasn't caused by Miles ghostbusting the murdered grandson. What if it was caused by something that happened on the island, like the sky turning purple? Or maybe it's a "butterfly effect" from one of the times Desmond saved Charlie's life?

Didn't they do the same thing with the hatch back in season 2? Like in ep 4 or something when they kinda recrapped Locke and Kate being captured by Desmond all the decorations in the hatch were different than in the season premiere?

Sometimes I kinda get an alternate universe/ matter/anti-matter vibe from the whole thing. I first got that feeling when the #15(?) rabbit appeared in The Flame video and they all freaked out and didn't want it to get near the #15 rabbit...

Jeebus..thanks for posting, that's really interesting! It reminds me of the differences in Desmond's hatch/records/etc in that one episode. Something about changing the past/future with one action, I'd wager.

To whom were the Others' communicating with? And what would they do if communications suddenly stopped? Perhaps these could be ones behind the Freighter people.

Also, I don't think it was Ben/Others who faked the 815 at the bottom of the sea. I think it was the same bigshots behind the Freightees. They're just as much intent on keeping The Island a secret, obviously.

It could have been an accident. If they weren't in complete control of the experiments, as when bunny #8 pops into the research room, then you'd think anything is possible including sending things somewhere else on the planet, or out into space. Has anyone observed any polar bears in orbit?

Jack constructs a Locke effigy out of a coconut so he has something to hit when he's not feeling in complete control.
