Aaron apparently plays a big part in Kate's life after they got off the island. So it doesn't seem like a cop-out to me. To include Aaron and have him be Claire's orphan baby would have seemed like a cop-out to me. But having Kate claiming him as her own adds to his being one of the Oceanic Six.

Well, Aaron did survive the crash and he was rescued, so I don't have a problem with Aaron being included in the Oceanic Six. I'm just wondering exactly how Kate convinced everyone that he is her child. It seemed to me that her mother thought that Aaron was really her grandson.

Well had she ever been on 815 (or any Oceanic flight ever) no it wouldn't be a problem but since she wasn't nor was she in anyone's womb on 815 flight then it's not going to be an issue :)

Aaron was percolating in Claire on the flight, he survived and got off. Of course they're going to refer to him as one of the O6. Are you kidding? A BABY? The media would go crazy over a story like that.

Because it's unreasonable to think that any court in the land would give custody of somebody else's kid to a woman on the run for murder.

I still think the person in the coffin is the last of the Oceanic Six. Just because a preview says Aaron is counted, that doesnt mean that it's real. Okay, I just wanted to continue this pointless debate.

This is what struck me most about "The Beginning of the End." So it seems that the Oceanic Six are the Losties who are known, at least publicly, to have survived the crash and made it off the island. We know that the group includes Jack and Hurley. I do not believe that Kate is part of it because (aside from the fact that I am still not convinced that the Kate we saw in "Through the Looking Glass" was not Jack's drug induced hallucination) they are apparently media...
