The best script that has never been used is Alien 3 when they did not come up with stupid prison colony idea and focus on politic and economic aspect of corporation of company attempting to exploit aliens. Only the android and sole survivor (not Ripley or the girl) attempt to stop them on their own.

In the book they weren't, but saying that was the perception and Stacy got upset. And that she would have to die because that's what happens in movies- and Jeff would save Amy, and Eric would be the one who goes first because that's what happens in...

The guy for our school paper who went to an advanced screening gave it an F and said it was so comically bad people were laughing at it in the theatre.

Um, Stacy wasn't the bad girl and Eric wasn't comic relief. I thought it was a well done movie, haven't read the book yet though.

By changing the ending, they've made it into exactly what the characters were making fun of in the book and if it were turned into a movie. (Amy, heroine; Stacy, badgirl; Eric, comic relief, Jeff the hero) -ugh, I liked the book much better. (but then again, I can't stand Jenna Mallone)

I liked it. It was a good way to spend an afternoon.It was genuinly creepy and disturbing ,and the acting wasn't half bad I haven't The Descent. Is it better?

good for a horror movie.

like a dumbed down version of the descent (which i consider one of the best horror movies of at least the past 10 years)

i kept wondering what jena malone was doing in a movie like this though.

And Katja, they've changed several things from the novel to the film, so it won't be entirely ruined for you.

That is exactly what will bother me if I finish the book first - how it's been changed.

I might watch it this weekend, and then I can finish the book.

The ending is apparently different in the movie. I went and saw it last night. Not too bad.

I won't see the movie because the book pissed me off so much. It was an extremely well-written, highbrow version of a dimwitted teen slasher/horror movie script.

While reading it you can just about see the dollar signs popping up in Scott Smith's eyes as he thinks of the movie deal to come.

I did see the short film the director did about some bugs that people put under their skin to achieve a sort of sexual euphoria. Creepy as hell but very well acted and directed. Sort of had homosexual overtones. Despite being well done it left me feeling uneasy and creeped out so I don't know that I would recommend it.

Of course, they had to go and fuck with the real ending. Surely it will debut at number 6, and float off the chart in about 3 weeks and resurface on DVD by May.

I just started the book so I'll probably have to wait till dvd to see the movie. I'm just glad to see a horror movie that actually isn't a remake of a japanese original.

WTF is this movie about, the trailer was creepy:

A group of friends whose leisurely Mexican holiday takes a turn for the worse when they, along with a fellow tourist embark on a remote archaeological dig in the jungle, where something evil lives among the ruins.
