Yeah I tried watching it because I loved the Lonesome Dove series when I was a kid...I use to watch it all the time with my Dad...but I tried watching it last night but I could not get into it I thought maybe I was to giddy about the Packers getting a Home game for the NFC Championship game...and me having tickets to the game...but now that I see you guys think it sucks....

Maybe it gets better.. I remeber there was some slow points in Lonesome Dove when they had to introduce...

Steve Zahn is always funny in his roles and he almost saved this for me being a Steve Zahn fan but man this show stunk. The problem is based on 2007 being a watershed year for Westerns. The quality level set this year was so unbelievably high that a mediocre made for TV movie is just unwatchable when we can watch 3:10 to Yuma or The Assassination of Jesse James, among others. If this show came out 18 years ago, it would have seemed way better in comparison.
Heck, even Kid Nation felt...

Loved Lonesome Dove, gave up on this crapfest an hour into it. Way too much on TV this week to bother.

Now I absolutey LOVED Lonesome Dove years ago! (If anyone out there remembers the wonderful miniseries from 18 years ago or so) Bought the DVD this Christmas, watched all 6 hours in one day and loved it all over again!
Comanche Moon premiered tonight - a "prequel" to Lonesome Dove. Not that impressed.

Anyone else have any thoughts?
(the ORIGINAL Gus and Woodrow made me want to be a cowgirl doing cowboys! Giddi-yup!)
