The MAIN reason the Ink wasn't emphasized was that when Nelly reported back from the meeting with the execs the word "INK" never came out of her mouth. Bitch wouldn't shut the fuck up long enough to find out what the real emphasis was supposed to be.

Gene forced Trump to fire him, but it was the right move.

Once you lose as PM, you're basically finished on the show. Gene lost as PM and therefore had 0 chance at winning.

He also got to be PM twice. He wasn't going to get another turn, which meant his charity wasn't going to receive any more money.

So why stick around? No more money for his charity, no chance of winning ... why stick around? Gene decided to go home on his own terms.

He was on CNBC with that man that has the show on there that was on with them, the man that yells about stocks, and he said he had something to do so he didn't care if he left, and he also said that The Captain goes down with the ship, and he was the Captain. He still had nothing bad to say about any of them, and said he didn't think any of them should go, and he was happy to go instead.

The bottom line is that Gene should have brought Nely to the boardroom. Trump was practically giving him major hints that he was going to fire Nely.

I think Gene bringing in Omarosa and Jennie was just plain stupid because Trump wasn't going to fire either of them since he didn't see them as being the reason why this project failed.

I got the impression that Gene was going all-or-nothing by bringing two of the hardest people to fire (Omarosa for her rhetoric skills and the other chick because it didn't seem like she was going anywhere any time soon). Taking Omarosa out could have given Gene the rest of the game. S. Baldwin seems to be the only other person with talent.

I don't think I've ever so intensely liked & disliked any contestant simultaneously. Just listening to him on his own, refusing to accept the simple fact that his JOB was to emphasize the INK and seeing that his own pomposity prevented him from even going to the meeting that would have been the only chance of that penetrating his thick skull (lord knows he'd never hear it from a WOMAN), it was great fun to loathe the guy. Yeah he wanted to be fired. Either because he was bored/tired of it or because his ego was bruised from the loss (probably a combination). I think the reason Trump didn't override his BR choices was because they weren't made out of spite to get rid of an enemy per se. It was because he was obviously tanking it and Trump didn't want to forgive/show favourtism to an obvious SELF-sabotage.
