It's pretty pathetic that What Happens in Vegas made more money than this. It's too bad because this movie is one of a kind.

Saw it.
It reminded me of a Days of Thunder, Dick Tracy & the Hulk.
I hated Days of Thunder, Dick Tracy and the Hulk.
Speed Racer may be the most boring lead character ever.
The soundtrack might be worth getting though. Fergie gets Speedilicious.

THe marketing for this film was terrible, but the film was quite enjoyable. I saw it at IMAX. Had a monster migraine the next day, but loved the visuals.

I really enjoyed "Speed Racer". Visually, it was stunning. The plot was pure melodrama (what else would you expect?), but it was paced very well, and had a plausible story with enough twists to keep you interested. I was worried that Spreidel and Chim-Chim would be annoying, but they were used in just the right amount as comic relief (there's a hilarious sight gag when they're in their pajamas) and were quite funny. Emile Hirsch was great and John Goodman (surprisingly)...
