Aras was a dud compared to the S12 guys (except Nick), but he's an amazing Hatch-like character compared to all the non-Jonathan men left in S16

Certainly, the most the most forgetful winner.

Aras vs. Terry was a storyline, which is more than Vecepia ever had. You could recap the whole season and completely ignore her - you wouldn't leave out "call the whambulance".

^I don't think so, I found him entertaining. At the very least,he was able to recognize his own immature acts directed at Terry and others(which Cirie has yet proved unable to do), and he doesn't seem to have any interest in Survivor as far as using it to boast a "career"(his fur hat business notwithstanding). Also, I don't think hes a horrible casting choice. I for one,can relate to him better then I could several other winners, and he did play a good game, just not the...

Just surfing the back threads on LTS this morning and I come across this gem of a thread.

He was a pretty crappy winner, but most are anyway, so he fits right in. Certainly, the most the most forgetful winner.

He was horrible casting.

Err no. Shane's alliance really didn't really affect Casaya's tribal council. The vote was completely split anyways.

It was a good move for Aras personally, because if Shane had quit he would have been outnumbered by the outsiders. Keeping Shane also meant keeping an athletic guy at a time when La Mina seemed to have a big physical advantage over Casaya. But yeah, with Shane gone there would have been a lot less conflict at camp, so that's true.

Aras is as overlooked as any player out there, which is odd being that he won the whole thing. If Aras had been on alot of the other seasons and did as well and got a similar edit, he would be held in a higher regard, he suffers from being on the show with 2 of the biggest persona's to play post-ass, Cirie and Terry, who were not to mention also in the final 4 with him, so they took alot of time up, Aras was a skilled player

Not necessarily. Austin and Terry are locks to vote for Aras in the f2. Shane, in his mind, was betrayed twice by Cirie and once by Aras, so Shane votes Aras. He confirmed that he would never, ever vote for Cirie. Courtney is questionable,but I think shed vote for Aras if he did some smooth talking.

Simple logic. At the final 4, he voted for the only goat left in the game, which if successful, would've put him against Terry and Cirie, making HIM the goat who would hand Cirie a million dollars.

Point is, Aras planned to go to the F2 with Cirie, believing he would lose to her. And if that's not a mark of a bad player, I don't know what is. Aras planned to lose the game. In my mind, that's pretty unforgivable.
