Stay in the middle of the stage. Shoot rapidly at him. When he releases his hornets, you must kill at least two of them and you should be firing so rapidly at him that you automatically kill them before they even start moving towards you. Never leave the middle platform and jump over him when he runs at you. Just keep shooting.

The only bosses I can easily kill with the buster are Splash woman and Galaxy man.

Jewel man, Plug man and Tornado man I've all defeated once with my buster too, but it was a hell of a fight that required skill (no E-Tanks though)

Hornet man and Magma man are simply impossible with the buster and no E-Tanks

Concrete man is very sporadic. Tornado Man's stage annoyed me the most. I'm glad to hear other people die left and right figuring out stages.

I liked the X series, and I loved X4 where you could play as Zero and X. X1 is the best to me though. The bosses are all memorable and fun to fight and I like that you can get upgrades in stages.
