Courtney's a strategic Tard, but she's been shown, especially in the last two episodes, playing the Jury, something which hasn't even entered Todd's mind (nor Amanda's). If she keeps standing up for people as Toddmanda boot them off, she's going to garner some protest/sympathy votes.

Her Right Brain approach to the game, acting on pure instinct, could stand as a contrast to the logical over-thinkers and manipulators...

If she wins purely because she is lucky, then they have to show us that there is no other reason for her to win. Although doesn't seem like a very good story - we could just watch the lottery drawing and get the same amount of drama.

She's screwed up her relationships with everyone on Fei Long, can't/won't fix them, but feels very lonely. She tried buddying up to Sherea two episodes agao, she's petting on Frosti last episode. If that's heading us anywhere...

Agreed, Martrae, her behavior is understandable, but her editing is puzzling if she's going to be the winner. At some point they need to "redeem" her somewhat. Sometimes watching annoying people is fun and sometimes it's just ... annoying. I find John Robert hilarious because he's so freakin' clueless about what people think but I have yet to develop one spark of interest in Courtney. JR is a player (primarily in his own mind) but you can understand the wheels...

As to Courtney, I think you've touched upon something. Some people can't cope with the isolation from all that's familiar and so they react at their most basest level. In Courtney's case, she needs people to like her and so JR NOT liking her bothers her more than it would in 'normal' circumstances. Coupled with the fact that she can't really...

I'm sorry that I have been away for awhile.....I've got shingles (one very painful and depressing problem), but I am a little better now....this disease can last up to 3 months......SHIT!

Hilarious commentary, with both idols. GO JAMES! The strategic woman who's sniffing for a crack, and Frosti, the positive guy. I like these guys.

Dislike - Courtney, Todd

I find them both annoying, and they seem to overshadow everything and everyone with drama, strategizing. I've had enough of these two.

We may not know the while story with the HIs. It could be that Todd and James have a deal to share them or at least one, but Todd is using it as a reason to get rid of James - which he obviously must do.

Yes, it would be the first thing I'd ask for if I were Todd! And leaving James with one is more than he would have had without Todd. Not that Todd needs one, because he's got the numbers and the strategy, but still. James can't be trusted not to give one to someone that he likes to save them...

And the roots of TODD'S downfall were certainly showed last night. So far, he's been in total control.

I don't see him as being in total control. Leslie's boot was Aaron's decision. (Todd had, in Leslie, a person who trusted him completely. There was potential for the two of them to work together to get the HII.) He didn't control the loss of his main ally, Aaron. He couldn't control Fei Long winning the gross food challenge, despite...

I don't think it will be James as I do believe we are seeing the proverbial red herring in the promos. The likely bootee is JR. I will be sad to see him go as I do find him amusing. Or that Todd didn't ask for it? I think it's more that the editors didn't show us some of those conversations, not that they didn't happen. (Not that I'm actually complaining. I thought they are doing a very nice job this season, storywise, of showing us what we need for boots and other key moves to make sense, without a lot of gratuitous coupling...

What a fun episode! I thoroughly enjoyed James in that one. And I have to say the editing had me going. When Zhan Hu figured out that if they all voted JR with Courtney they could get five votes (assuming Frosti rejoined the fold) and then JR looked as if he would be stubborn and vote for PG thus ensuring his own demise (and James also helpfully spelled it out for us) I thought it would happen. I couldn't believe we'd get so lucky as to have the fake immunity idol actually in...

Jedi it sounds like J-R might not be alone in having reasons to vote against Todd. He may not have to lobby or can be factored out. That doesn't guarantee a vote against, but it doesn't help either.

I've taken Courtney's comment that J-R will write her name down as a very possible indicator he does vote for her - at final TC.

But I have no winner yet..although I'm leaning heavily against Todd.

Yeah BlutoDelta ran around telling people Amanda wins. But I didn't see Pinto's post. I'm just going off PURE SPEC, which is more than I can say for the people IN Spec, particularly in Edgic....

There's probably several people who will be on the jury who will vote for whoever JR doesn't. In other words, if JR campaigns for Amanda, a bunch of people will vote for Todd just because JR isn't.

An exciting and pivotal episode!

A colossal clusterf*ck for COURTNEY, who was shown to be completely irrational, a potential flipper with no "street smarts." And she hates everyone. Then Jean-Robert goes and negates the whole thing by pointing out what a threat she is. (What me, threat?) Shii Ann's assessment of Ass Amber, anyone?

Speaking of ASS Amber, AMANDA'S arc has been far more Amber than the predicted DANNI. She sure has Todd by the nutsack....
