I went through this entire series over the last few months for the first time, wrapping up with the dreadful movie. A fairly good show, but just not on the level of Fuller's other two shows, Wonderfalls and Pushing Daisies. The fact that he left the series early on definately shows. That said, the series was fairly consistent in quality before completely blowing up in the movie. I miss this show so much - another amazing series that was canceled WAY too early. I agree the movie wasn't fantastic, but it was because of fans that the movie was made. I think they just made a mistake with constintency. George shouldn't have been able to talk to Reggie. If they were going to do a movie they could have focused it on having Rube leave, but I'm assuming they didn't have Mandy Patitkin on board.

So I just watched the entire series over the last two weeks for the first time. Quite the little gem.

Unfortunately, I then went and ruined the marathon by watching the movie. What the hell were they thinking there? I could handle not bringing back Rube, but the whole Cameron plot was awful. And, as already mentioned, recasting Daisy was a horrible decision. The actress was godawful and ruined every scene she was in - and that's without realizing that it was the same character...

I watched this last night.. and part of me is still excited, and the other part of me is completely disappointed.

The new Daisy was TERRRIBLE. I mean honestly.. if that was the best they could do, and they couldn't wait for Laura Harris, then they needed to make a new character. Her trying to reprise Daisy was painful to watch. Most of the time, I just pretended she was someone else. And what the fuck was up with that Lady Macbeth seen? Were the writers retarded? The REAL Daisy...

I told you it sucked. It was nice to see some of them again but it wasn't the same.

They shouldn't have recast Daisy. She served no purpose in the movie and she was only on the show originally to replace Rebecca Gayheart so they should have just replaced her with a new character (or not).
Cameron was also worthless and took over the whole movie.

If their goal with this movie was to bring back the TV show, I don't think they accomplished it. I'm not...

I ordered the movie and the box set of Season 1 and 2. My husband has never heard of this show so I have to get him hooked them tell him it was cancelled

I can't wait to get it and watch it in a month.

I loved this show back when it aired in 2003-2004.

Saw the movie and while it did bring back some nostalgia, it wasn't really that good.

Small spoilers for the movie:

No Rube sucks, and Cameron was rather pointless. Might as well call him Desmond because that's all I could see when he was onscreen. The whole way they dealt with him in the end seemed rather tacked on.
New Daisy stinks. Old Daisy was cheerfully and effortlessly bitchy, egotistical,...

I saw the movie, it's pretty good. The new Daisy sucks, she plays daisy sort of Psychoish and needy. Roxy and Mason are still the same, and george is the same as well.

I didn't like the new boss, but I would say this the ending left it very open for Rube to come back and a possible return to tv.

Some other notes,
- Delores and her cat are back! and happy time is in a different building.
-Reggie looks really pretty all grown up
-George's mom...
